Description

Precious little houses for the week-folk have been created from sea shells collected at the Isle of Palms, SC.
Each is
adorned with Popcorn Tree berries sold by the Low Country’s sweet grass basket artists.
The houses are nestled in
spectacular oyster shells from Beth Greene, Morehead City NC artist.  Each shell is perfectly posed on a golden base to create the most dramatic display.
This handmade one-of-a-kind assemblage features a fairy house crafted from two Calico Scallop shells.  The chimney is a Lettered Olive shell topped with an acorn cap. It is surrounded by moss and faux foliage and seaweed and real Popcorn Tree berries from Charleston.  The fairy is standing on a bed of beach sand from Isle of Palms.  take a close-up look to see the tiny shells embedded in the sand.  The golden oyster shell is approximately 5.5" long and the overall creation is about 5" tall.  A tiny 1.75"  fairy is looking for shells.
