    Description

    Scheduled operations were extended to the U.S. mainland with service to Los Angeles on the June 12, 1985. The carrier used Lockheed L-1011 equipment to service this new route. The new service represented the first inaugural flight by Hawaiian Airlines since 1953 that had received official cachets.
